# Key Participants

The Knightrade platform consists of three core user roles:

1. **Traders**
   * Experienced trading experts or regular users that execute trades and share strategies
   * A trader's performance is public. Other users may choose traders to follow.
   * Traders earn commissions or rewards based on good trading performance and user follows.
2. **Investors**
   * Beginners or time-conscious investors
   * Chooses to follow a single trader or several traders
   * Automates investments through following trading strategies
3. **Knightrade Governance Team**
   * Provides comprehensive technical platform support
   * Delivers advanced data analytics
   * Maintains community engagement features
   * Implements risk management systems to safeguard users' investments and assets
   * Oversees trader-follower interactions
